Minhwi Lee, Borrowed Tongue

Mirrorball Music, 2016 / 8 songs, 29 Minutes

Perhaps she, too, must have been having nightmares; beautiful and somber dreams, where one has her tongue stolen, borrows a tongue, and finally sings with it. It is strange that one person’s nightmare could be solace to another. But if grief is, as is happiness, something that we have borrowed from some part of life—then we have no choice but to cherish the grief until it no longer is ours. We cannot but let the grief linger on the tip of our tongue, slowly touching and feeling. — Youngle Kim
